Can I put in new prescription lenses into my old eyeglasses frame?

I have a really awesome pair of cat eyeglasses, but the lenses don’t match my eyes. I just basically want to use to frames, but put new prescription lenses into it. Do Lenscrafters do this, and how much would it be?

The lenses in great condition ive heard every year my prescription changes every excuse imaginable as to why they will tell you that would go down the lenses but bottom line is they just want you to spend more money.

Yes you can. As long as the old frame is in good conditions there will not be any problems. But, they might try to talk you into a new pair first.

It can be done, but it is at your own risk. Because the frame is old, the company doesn’t make it anymore- This just means that if the frame breaks they won’t be able to get replacement parts. Fitting your new lenses into another frame would be much more difficult, so if your current frame breaks you’d likely need to buy new frames AND lenses again to replace them.
